Red Dot AR Zeroing In

I had a spark at on my M&P 15 . It was set up for lower 1/3 co whiteness. I had to look through the sights and get the dot close to the post to get it on paper at 50yards. Windage was spot on the post and the elevation was slightly higher. Hope that helps
