Hey,

What is the best option for a red dot or some sort of ghost sight which would last me a long time, uses low power for long life battery or no battery at all. Can you get anything like that? maybe power x2?

Thanks

Sounds like you're looking for an Aimpoint :D

If you want 2x? you can go with a few of the Aimpoint series (they have a doubler on the front)

for normal 1x, an ML3 would be a great sight. 50,000 hours on a medium-high setting, and they are built like a tank. Can use 30mm rings to mount.

Or if you want something lightweight, go with an H1. Its factory mount would probably be good for the MR1's rail height. 633 from The Shooting Edge. They also use CR2032 batteries, which are THE most common coin cell in existence! :D

They are a bit expensive, but you WILL only cry once. They will last a lifetime.

Aimpoint is a great product and you can't go wrong with them. Here are a few other options as well...
Elcan spectre DR, comes in a 1.5x6 variable or 1x4 variable and has a great battery life. My 1x4 worked continuously on for 7 months on the #3 setting.

Trijicon ACOG's are another good choice as you don't really have any worries at all with battery life.

All 3 products are well made, you can abuse the hell out of them and will stand the test of time.
