Red dot for semi-auto 22LR

It's pretty standard to always have to run a Weaver adapter rail at this point in time. Essentially only Rimfire 1" rings are readily available with the 11mm dove tail. It'll cost you about 14$

Yea, sadly there isn't much support for dovetail. You'd think there would be more options, since there are still new rifles that come with it.

I have a reflex sight that I ran on my 10-22 build for a while.
Was lots of fun for plinking and clanging steel. Didn’t care for it when shooting gophers and grouse.

I put my scope back on.

I’ve had it on my 30-30 and shot a bear with it. It now sits on my 45 colt lever gun.

I've got a Vortex crossfire red dot on my sks. My friend has a Bushnell trs25 on his 10-22. Both are pretty nice, would recommend either.

There is no comparison to the ncstar crap I have on a 22lr, the two are lighter, smaller, and have much smaller dots.

I think it bled over from the CF guys who needed 'recoil lugs' on their Weaver rings and the like. There's no reason you can't just use a 11mm dove to hold optics on a rimfire...
