red dot magnfy for AR 15??? Wich one

I was looking for a Red dot Optic with magnification- 3x9 for my AR rifle. I cant afford an expensive one, so I was looking at this -NC Star SRT 3-9x42 Mil Scope. $228.00
After reading the reviews- " quick release wont hold, screws break, wont hold zero" I chose not to buy it.
Is there ANYTHING middle of the road price that works.??
mabey it would be the best idea to just put a rifle scope on. ?

The new Bushnell ar series one its 1-4 power 30 mill tube around 300 with out rings it will be the best for the money dont waste money on anything nc star(except there rifle cases)

Burris make a nice 5X red dot (AR536) that works well on one of my guns. They also make a 3X red dot.

+1 on that scope. Read a lot of good reviews about it and it's sub $300.

Try the bushnell ar 1x28 red dot. If youre just using it for plinking at the range it is good value. You can find em on the ee for 50$

I have the Bushnell AR 1-4x on my Windham AR and it's great and for the money you can't beat it.
Got a package deal with the scope, millet tactical rings and a pack of targets for $329.
