So heres the background. Wife got interested in shooting a few years ago. She now has a nice collection of guns and just got her restricted late last year. So to celebrate we went to all the gunshops in Edmonton on a christmas trip. She held just about everything and it came down to the S&W M&P v-Tac or the SIG P226 with e2 grips. She bought the Sig and loves the pistol but she has always struggled with open sights (rifles, .22, and pistols) give her a scope or red dot and she is probably a better shot than me.
So I came across a Cadex mount for a reflex sight for the 226 that you don't have to alter the gun for. She wants to add it to the cart right now but I have no idea how these sights perform on pistols. or if it's a good idea.
So if anybody can help it would be much appreciated.
1- Are these a reliable sight when mounted to the slide of a pistol?
2- what do I have to spend on a sight to get a decent one?
3- Overall thoughts of the idea
Heres the product.

Please just don't say teach her to get better with open sights unless this is a terrible idea, She has struggled picking up open sights on all platforms and types from the beginning Her sight is not the best and I would rather she has fun at the range than get frustrated trying.
Thanks
Jason
