Red Dot on a pre B?

Anybody done it? What mount did you use? I have a pre B thats been sitting for a couple years with a broken front sight that I can't find a replacement for,figured maybe a red dot might be the answer.

I know it’s not what you asked..I had a smith install a f/o front sight on mine...worked a treat..

Front sights seem to be a weak spot on the old pre Bs.Both of them that I have owned lost their sight after a few thousand rounds.I had Dlask fit a nice dovetail frontsight on the last one.A pre B would likely require machining of the slide to fit a mount and that would be quite costly

If I remember correctly...mine was 160$ all in...it was a solid investment...jmho
