Red Dot on a SXS

So after watching MagPuls art on the dynamic DVD I'm thinking about putting a red dot on my Stoeger Double Defense. Any reason to avoid a red dot on a SXS?

Do not waste your time on a sxs, a shotgun is a piont and shoot weapon and does not need a rifle type aiming device unless you are shooting slugs past 25 yds.
