I have a fairly serious eye issue called Keratoconus this is the thinning/drooping of my corneas the usual fix for this is to have a cornea replacement.
I was able to find a special soft contact that made it so I could see fairly well again I had been increasing the power of my scopes and staying away from irons until I found ghost ring sights these made it possible to shoot without a scope again.
Now I am starting to deal with a new vision issue = I now also need reading glasses this is making it almost impossible to use my MI ghost ring sights on my Robinson Arms XCR-L without reading glasses the issue is the front sight is to close to see clearly it is a total blur.
This brings me to my question I am now looking at small red dot or reflex type sights that I can mount on the very rear of the upper rail of my Robinson Arms XCR-L.
The plan is to slip the rifle with the FAST stock folded into a tight fitting shotgun scabbard that I strap to the side of my backpack with the stock in the folded position the rifle does not sit higher than my head and the pistol grip allows for a fast/positive draw from the scabbord.
I have no experiences with these kinds of sights and would totally appreciate any thoughts/ideas/recommendations/experiences to help me figure this out or if these will work for me.
Thanks
CC
