Red dot recommendations

I will echo what Bartok5 said wrt HoloSun.

I have two of the HS510C red dots and they are great.

One is on my 12ga Derya MK12 and has been working perfectly fine for the last year, even used it for turkey!

Cheers

Hard to tell from the pics, but that one also doesn’t appear to have aimpoint on the battery holder and on the left side above the serial number. Should be there in black raised lettering. Maybe an older model production? I dunno.

When I was checking mine... 9 clicks to first red dot, 15 to highest red dot, doesn’t go all the way around to shut off (have to wind back), raised aimpoint in black on battery cover and in the groove above s/n, adjustment covers don’t extend above the guard beside them, only a single red dot, s/n starts with a letter, and the objective lens is red to yellow to green depending on the angle looking at it. I stopped short of actually checking the s/n with aimpoint as everything else seemed to pass the smell test.

I was going with single optic for each.

Thanks for the suggestion, I was looking in to Bushnell for the price point.

I was concerned that they weren't very good. In your experience are they reliable/ get the job done?

For the price, I have had no complaints. Had one on a deer slug gun and on a .22.

I’ve had a trs25 on a couple shotguns for 4 years at least and it has held up great, I’ve only changed the battery once in that time. It’s a tough red dot at a decent price, I have no complaints about it.

I would suspect you would probably be waiting a while for an aimpoint below $400.
Maybe CSC will throw another model on crazy cheap, like they did with the comp m4 in December.

Vortex Vipers and Venom are also decent for under $400. Have a few buddies who run them on their shotguns/muzzle/BP for deer season.

Used H1's fetch about 350-400.

I was looking for reflex scope for gsg16 as well. Now I don't need to make my own post. Was looking for a 4-6 MOA, but wanted to keep it under $350. Also not worried about battery other that replaceable while still mounted. Don't want to worry about resighting.

Fathers day coming soon and I want to get some ideas, hint, hint
