Depending on the receiver you can:

a) get a set of "weaver-to-dovetails" mounts from Eric Brooks (http://cz452.com) He sells them for 1mm and 3/8th inch dovetails.

b) remove the dovetail (easily done on a 10/22) and installe a VQ or Power-Custom (http://www.powercustom.com/images/recs.jpg) weaver base.
