My eyes tell me that I now must improve my sighting equipment.

I want to be able to switch my sight from a rim fire to my crossbow. I need good, clear, bright optics. I'd like a red dot reticle, with adjustability of brightness. I'm willing to pay good dollars to get a good quality product.

What make and model would be best for what I'm looking in the way of performance?

Aimpoint would top that list as far as quality and bang for the buck goes. However, for your intended uses, the Burris is a solid compromise.

If you have astigmatism you might not get a good clear round dot. I must have mild astigmatism because depending on the environment my red dots can be less then perfectly round and more star like. I don't find it to be an issue but some people don't like the fuzzy misshaped dots.

Have you tried a red dot before?
