Red Dot

I'm partial to vortex, i have a crossfire 2, and a sparc ar and very happy with both, have also used a bushnell trs25 (brother has 2 of them) and wouldn't hesitate with one of those either.
I haven't tried the sig romeo myself, but see it recomended often.

Start with an A-zoom for ca $30 to see if you like it. If so, then buy a 1-2 MOA Holosun for $300+ .

I opted for a Vortex Sparc2 because of the 2MOA dot, on sale for under $200 and the Lifetime warranty.
Turns out I had forgotten how poorly my eyes see red dots so I mounted a Primary Arms SLX micro Prism with ACCS Cyclops reticle and haven't looked back.....

Im running a Holoson HE508T-RD on my 460 s&w, Its rmr footprint so easy to find plates/risers
Ive had it two years now and its always returned to zero and always held zero with that much recoil. I cant say enough good things about it.
As well the solar on top is a huge bonus.

I Also own 2 Trijicons they are cool just, on the pricey side.

The Burris FastFire III is a great option for a 10/22 - it's compact, reliable, and holds zero well.

for rimfire, i'd like a rd with either a bdc turret or reticle, even out to 100, a single aim point is a problem.
Have a Bushnell trs25 on a savage 64 t/d, nice and compact, but single poa
leupold freedom, getting pretty big though

I mounted a crossfire on my take down, all because i have the high mount plate included it i want to mount my 3x behind it, but it currently sits tight to the barrel. its also a 2MOA dot and battery life is supposed to be close to 50,000 hrs

I've had great luck with the Vortex Crossfires. I have 10 of them now on .22's, 12 gauge semi's and a .44 Mag lever, 45-70 lever. All hold zero, none have failed. There was a small issue with the first generation Crossfires that you had to crank them up to position 7 or 8 to get a visible dot, this has been rectified on the latest ones.
Vortex does have a lifetime warranty as well.

Vortex Optics Triumph Red Dot: 2 MOA Dot Reticle, Model TRI-RD2 $159

This one looks decent. Lots of features for the price.
