Red Dots ??

I used to have an Aimpoint H2 on a Remington 700 Mountain SS a while back. It was a very light and accurate combo. Still held sub MOA to 200 yards. Sadly I never hunted with that combo but it was fun shooting it.

Sub moa at 200 yards, without magnification, and a dot that obscures at least 4 inches of the target?...

I reckon I’d like to hear your fishing stories too ;-)

That is what I was thinking ..... :bsFlag: :bsFlag: :bsFlag:

It's not because you gents lack the skills to perform the feat that everyone else does. Large enough target with proper contrast, red dot turned down to the lowest possible setting that can still be seen, and it gets done.

Whether or not you believe me changes nothing to the fact it actually happened.

I have been using a Trijicon reflex on various rifles for the last 20 years. They are tough as nails no batteries not affected by cold or rain. good at night. Can you tell I like this sight?

Well you’re better than me.

OK, I have to admit .....now I am impressed.

Very IMPRESSIVE RangerPark ! Thxs the Extra info ;) RJ

Well Gents, thank you. I didn't post my old thread for praise but couldn't help feeling called out a little bit :) PhotoBucket destroyed my old thread but luckily I found the pictures.

The rifle was a Remington 700 Mountain SS in .308. Magpul DBM and Devcon bedded. This was a .5 MOA 5 round rifle with a scope on. This was the red dot setup:

I miss this rifle. I sold it once, then bought it back from the buyer when he put it up for sale. Then I sold it again. I regret it to this day. I'm an idiot for ever getting rid of it.

I am a fan of vortex for dots and low magnification sights. I have 4 sparc ar, 2 sparc, spitfire 3x and a 1x8 strike eagal. If you want just a dot the crossfire is a great value the sparc ar is also a good sight for the money. But if i was going to run a that gun i would run the 1x8 strike eagal. There is surprisingly little distortion around the edges on 1x and you have the ability to run up to 8x if needed. Also the redical can be used with 308 and is pretty good. I have had mine on a bcl102 that i hunted with pretty hard it has also been on one of my ar15 for atleas 3 competitions and a buch of practice where i was not very gentle on it and it runs great still.
