Red pads

Good evening, I’m looking for a few grind to fit red recoil
Pads here in Canada, anyone know where can one buy them? I’m looking for something in the 1 1/4” thick and somewhat soft(think limbsaver) !

Kick eeze makes red pads. Corlanes stocks black and orange pads in their gunsmith shop and my work from them has always been good. Closer to home than most too. Might be worth a look

I got a couple of red pads out of Calgary Shooting Center, what they don't have out front, his gunsmith can get, oe may even have stashed away.

Last time I needed a red, i ordered from Brownells along with a few other hard to get items. Likely cost a little more than a Canadian alternative, but good as a last resort.

It lasted 52 years so I guess that’s not too bad.

Are there any good sources for thinner pads / buttplates? I find most factory pads are ~ 3/4", and I find most factory LOP to be 1/4" too long, so 1/2" thick pads would solve my problems without cutting the stocks down.

The lightweight version of the microcell is great for dampening but won't hold up in hard hunting. The hard version of Microcell was just ok but some that use their rifles daily managed to destroy them in three months. The rubber version is bullet proof.
They are easy to grind, even with an angle grinder and flap disk. Not for the faint hearted.
