They dont have export license - and thus they cannot ship outside the US.

If someone wants one - contact Questar or another dealer who is willing to import it, pay the cash and roll the dice with the RCMP.

Is this not the outfit that screws customers and is known for shoddy craftsmanship??

He didn't say he didn't want to sell to Canadian's just he won't deal with exporting. I'm sure a dealer could work something out with them or find a middleman if needed.

Does that mean the rifle can't be exported or only that the company isn't set up for it? Can a third party do it legally?

^Uh, Kevin kinda pretty much answered your questions in the quote you just made. Maybe re-read it? :)

Like he said they don't have an export license therefore they cannot export. Call Questar and see if they can import it for you then submit it to the RCMP and see how they classify it...

I seriously think that someone should watch how this thing perform before dumping money on it. I have never seen anyone using aluminium as a pressure holding part

IIRC Bobcat was somehow tied in with Toad...

Also Aluminum upper warning from DSArms
http://www.dsarms.com/safety_warning.asp

DSArms was fooling with this concept one year they had a few demos at SHOT - but I have not heard or seen hide nor hair since...
Those are the .308 uppers though, so hopefully these would be alright.

Uh, AR15?

They say they have redesigned it - possibly to get rid of these flaws? The link you gave was not confidence inspiring though. Good to know DSA takes thier work very seriously...

Additionally 5.56mm NATO pressure ammo has a CUP of 58,000. Commerical .308 is 62,000

To close for me to think an Alum FN upper is a good idea....
