I just got a set of Deluxe Redding dies. I took them apart as per the instructions and cleaned before using them. While I was reassembling the Full length body die I noticed that when screwing in the decapping rod it appears to be out of round or slightly bent as its always closer to one side of the case. Even once tightened up it appears closer to one side of the case
Anybody else ever have this happen. Im thinking this die need to be returned

i dont have any experiance with the redding deluxe FL dies but as with some other diesit could just be a bit of play in the threads..

loosen decap rod, place already deprimed case in press and run the ram up, carfully as to get the rod into the primer hole, then tighten rod down, should be centerd

easy way to check if its bent, when its tightened off center, use some sort of marker to mark the rod weather its on the large or small side of the gap, dissasemble and reassemble, if its always off the same size then its a good chance its bent. if its random then probably play in the threads

Hi
I had decap rod bent on my neck sizing die, it broke. The stem and rod were one piece so I ordered new one. New stem came with replaceable pin and with a small expanding ball.
