I recently picked up a set of 7mm-08 dies off a fellow CGN'er, arrived and was surprised that the neck sizer is a redding in an rcbs box with rcbs seater. I have never used any redding dies and am a little unsure how to adjust it properly. Anyone have any advice. I am fairly new to reloading so any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Turn die down til it contacts shell holder, the full neck will be resized. Back out die accordingly if you only want a portion of the neck resized.

That's about what I figured, but wanted to make sure. I haven't done any neck sizing only been full length sizing so far. Appreciate the info.

Blacken the neck with a permanent marker, run the ram to the top and thread the die in until you feel contact with the case. From that point its easy to adjust the amount of the neck you want resized. You might benefit from getting a Redding body die which is used like a full length resizing die sans the expander ball or bushing, and decapping pin. If you find a loaded round is difficult to chamber it can be run through the body die to bump the shoulder back without pulling the cartridge apart . . . get some Imperial Sizing Wax.
