I need one of those : S type Neck Die set and bushings and shellholder for 300 Win Mag. Any forum sponsor got them in stock.

I have see the light, after 2 months of search and fiddling , I found out why my 300 Winnie was shooting bad. The RCBS neck sizing die expander ball stem was crooked a little.

More ammunition is loaded with excess runout because the decapping pin/expander button is locked down off center than "ANY" other cause.

The lock nut should not be thightened on the expander button until a lubed case is in the shell holder and the expander button has just entered the neck of the case. Some people (me included) put a small rubber o-ring under the nut and let the expander button "float" and be self centering.

This will "NOT" help cartridge cases with unequal case wall thicknesses because these cases will warp when fired and the neck of the case will not be centered with the axis of the bore. (banana shaped case)

You can buy a Redding shoulder bump and body die and the Lee collet die much cheaper if the o-ring trick doesent work. (wink, wink, hint, hint)

You are not alone having issues with RCBS dies, I have also had troubles with the expander ball. I now use Wilson hand dies with redding type S bushings and my ammo is much more concentric. If you can't find what you need here, brownells or Sinclair are decent to deal with. Just be sure to select USPS to ship.
