Redding VLD seating stem issue.

Does anyone here use the swappable micrometer seating stems for VLD and standard bullets? I just received the VLD stem that I've been waiting 3 months for, and the damn thing won't fit the die body, not even close. This is for .308win.
I have the Competition seating - bushing set #58155, but have been utterly unable to find a part number for the standard seating stem that it came with. I asked the retailer and they said VLD stem #09180 is the one I need and that the standard stem is #09080. Well, something is screwed up because it is not the right one.
I sent Redding an email, but apparently the whole damn outfit is on vacation until the 11th.
 
I have one for my 260 die, I think it's #7. I've only used it with the 139gr sceaners which I'm not sure if you would call a VLD but it works great, the micrometer is super accurate. I got mine from sinclair.
 
How did you figure out which one to order? I can find a table telling me which one to order but it only mentions part numbers, not calibers.
