reddish color on the rail in brand new cz shadow---pictures are up now

i agree that it is not brand new (perhaps it could be an old barrel in a brand new gun..)... here are pictures of my Shadow... that have seen about a 1000 rounds.. (oh.. white dots is dust )

Dmitri, how old is your Shadow? Do s/n match on the barrel, frame and slide?
I'm asking as the safeties are not stock for Shadow, rear sight's cut is way back as on regular SP-01 and slide seems to have FPB?????

Yes all numbers match...

It is actually not a shadow... it is SP-01.. that had some work done by Angus H.
from czcustom.com (rear comp. sight, front f.o. sight, Comp. trigger and comp. hammer, also some springs were changed to lighten the trigger pul to about 2.5lb) so just as good as shadow , maybe better.. :) what is FPB?

FPB - firing pin block, Shadow doesn't come with it and it's not legal to remove it in competitions if gun came with one, at least in Production division.

I thought it was a good thing to have... no? here few more pics to see better:

FPB is another safety feature. Since the gun has been worked on (most likely by Rob) at czcustom, they should have 'optimized' sear and other engaging parts for less slack and crisp trigger; comp hammer helps too ;)
Did you not like SP-01 slide release, was it too long for you or it broke? Yours is 75/85 release.

To Bangbang:

Your gun seems as it has been used and also barrel has been 'polished' on outside.
All SP-01/Shadow and most 75/85 barrels on new guns are dark on outside due to special hardening process. When they wear you'll see whitish/silverish metal under that 'coating'.

guys--it was purchased from a very reputable dealer and it is brand new---it was full of grease/packaging etc---i took it apart yesterday and cleaned it from inside--everything is gone----

I'm also glad to hear all is good.
What year is the gun? It seems the barrel's outside color as well as FO colors are off. Also, s/n starts with 7?

Its just the lube they use, you see it also on Glocks in the slide rails. It looks like cooper never-seize.
