Redfield repair in Canada?

My neighbor has an older Redfield 3-9 power scope that won't hold a zero. Is there anywhere in Canada he can have it repaired? Google turned up nothing, I'm aware Leupold bought them out a little while ago, but as far as I know they aren't servicing them...

any help would be appreciated.

I've heard of people having trouble getting scopes back from the US after warranty work (state department bs?) If the work can be done here he'd rather do that, If not I suppose it would be much less of a hassle to just got out and buy a 3-9x Leupold.

Any one else have an idea as to getting this Redfield fixed? The old guy seems to like this old scope as he's taken a few moose with it over the years.
 
I had the same problem with the same scope. Took it to a local smith and he was able to fix it. $50.00, a deal through a friend. He had it overnight and fixed the next day.

Just my two cents, but try a local guy before you start shipping it all over the country. The cost in shipping might be the cost of the repair!?!
