Redfield revolution scope

Best scope for the money, they are very solid and hold their zero, would not be scare to put one on my 300 win mag and hunt with it... JP.

Best bang for the buck out there. Bass Pro has them for $180, there is simply nothing else at that price the compares in image quality or durability. Assembled in the USA to boot.

:agree:
I also thought that all Redfield products were 100% made in the USA but it turns out only there scopes are.

Not according to this guy!

This is a must read IMHO:

His rating of 5 scopes tested:

1st place - Vortex Diamondback 3-9
2nd place - Burris Fulfield II 3-9
3rd place - Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9
4th place - Redfield Revolution 3-9
5th place - Nikon Prostaff 3-9

I have a 2-7 Redfield and while I agree it is great for the money($170) I agree that my Bushnell 3200 3-9($210) is a nicer scope(by a small margin), and there are many, like the guy in that review, who would argue that the Vortex Diamond Back is a better option.

I haven't tried the Vortex yet but you can get the 2-7 for $210, and with all the great reviews, and warranty experiences I will be picking one up for my next rifle.

Very interesting read - everyone should read this who is interested in optics - i own a vortex diamondback 4-12 x 40 and i really like it - $209.99 at grouse river outfitters - kelowna bc thks jim

I haven't tried one yet but all I keep hearing is they are good, and for the money, very good. And Leupold is backing the warranty like a Leupold, so I'd try one if I needed a new scope.

Have a 4-12X on my M1A. Very durable, has never wandered, holds zero all the time. Extremely clear glass and bright image, even in low light or fog.

Has to be the perfect scope for the M1A, and of course the price was great.

I just bought a Redfield 3X9-50. I went to look at the 3X9-40 Redfield and Nikon, and was going to buy the Nikon as it was $50 cheaper (on sale) and nottoo much different than the Redfield. But... I made the mistake of trying a -50, and I just couldn't get the 3X9-50 out of my mind, and decided to pony up the extra $95 ($245 at WSS as compared to the $149 for the Nikon 3X9-40) for the larger field of view. I am very happy I did. Bright, clear, and perfect eye relief for me.

Please be advised that I am far from an expert, but I think I made a good purchase with this scope. The warranty is supposed to be rock solid as well.

Looking at the list above I haven't tried the Vortex Diamondback yet but I've had very good luck with Burris and the Bushnell 3200. Last time I looked through the Redfield and Nikon listed above at Bass Pro I thought the others had a tad more clarity. But everyone's eye is different and because they are all in the same ball park any one of them would suffice. Naturally there are higer end scopes and lesser, so it's a matter of how much one has to spare.

Waiting for mine to come back from warranty.Took it the first time to sight it in on my 30-06 and every time I shot it would drop 2 inches and a inch to the right without any adjustments.I thought it could be me flinching so I had 2 others try it and exact same thing.I am sure with my luck I just got a dud scope but hopefully will have it back soon.

Love mine... it sits on my rem 700 in .30-06.... I also forked out the extra coin and went with the 3-9 x 50..... one thing I didn't like was the accurange reticle... found it busy... that is just my opinion though....
