Redfield Revolution

If only they'd be foolish enough to make a tactical scope that is reasonably priced. I have to wonder why Leupold's company would make a Redfield scope to complete with their VXI's and Riflemans? Not that I'm complaining.

Check out the line of Leupold AR scopes. These are similar to the Mark 2 but are way less in cost. Phil.

Leupold will only honor the new Redfield lfetime warranty not other company,s former owners /makers of Redfield scopes..........There is an indepth artical in this months Rifle magazine.........Harold

Too bad, because last time I sent my old Redfield scope to Florida for repair, the guy on the other end could hardly speak english

PS: The repair work was quality, but it took three months for turn around time, and it was a real hassle communicating with them.

from what I hear they are a chinese scope, they have a great claim to being made in oregon but when an order of 50 arrived to a local shop they turned out to be all made in China (not just the binos and spotters) and had to be returned, there is something fishy going on with redfield.

At the Redfield site w ww.redfield.com/riflescopes , it is plastered everywhere that these scopes are made in the US. In fact, they have a little slogan on there saying "delivered through craftsmanship, not cargo ship" that pretty much sums it up.

I think you got some bad information. Hard to make these statements and still sell product if it is not true and today it is too easy for someone to find out the truth.

I am calling absolute BS on this. This same claim was made when the Rifleman line came out and was also BS. All my Redfield rifle scopes have made in USA on them, the binos and spotters come from China. If Leupold was caught doing this they would be the laughing stock of the industry and would be subject to fraud charges. Please post (or PM me )the name of the local shop that told you this as I will call them personally to verify this info. Phil.

After reading my post again I is worded like I do own one which I don't. I was just talking in general. I have own a 4-14 (other brand) and like the sounds of these scopes but want I higher magnification.

I am employed by Redfield/Leupold and will take any questions you may have, I will also field any BS statements as above. Redfield riflescopes are made in the same factory in Beaverton Oregon as the Leupold line.
Get your head out of your ass Josh and please forward information regarding what store cancelled or sent back a 50 order, it would have come through me and i can honestly say that there has yet to be a single returned order from my territory in BC.

Ok, now you guys made me get out of bed, I hope this matter dies with this post. Seeing as Leupold is saying they are made in the US, the way they built them as compared to more expensive scopes, is believable to me that they can indeed be made in a plant by our friends to the south.

The ONLY thing the boxes and paperwork say is "Printed in the USA" while the scope is marked simply with a 2D bar code and "Redfield" and on the bottom "REVOLUTION 3-9x40". Not one mention of made in China.

I will note, the adjustment cover are made out of a molded plastic, not turned steel, the lenses can accept Leupolds accessories, and since to my eyes they are not as clear as the more expensive scopes, they could be lenses that would normally have been thrown out, hence free to Leupold. Not to say they are bad lenses, they rival scopes in the 400$ range, but they are not the lenses used on 700$+ Leupold scopes.

Over all for 200$ you can't go wrong, so go to your local dealer or give P&D Ent a call and try it out.
