Has anyone done a comparison of the Revolution to a Bushnell 3200, if so what were the results ?

The model I am looking at is $149 and a similar 3200 is $40 more at $189

Thanks for any input.

:)

Depends what you are looking for in a scope. I believe the Redfield has better eye relief, glass would be comparable, internally I think the Bushnell is very solid and the black finish on the tube would be a little nicer on the Bushnell as well.

Both the Redfield and the 3200 are priced right, so it becomes preference, you'll need to look through both and decide.

Redfield is now 'Leupold' made on the same assembly line in Oregon

' google '

'opticsplanet'
' chuck hawks redfield revolution '

Where are you getting a redfield for $149? I'm assuming this is a 2-7x model?

PS Decent little scopes, I like mine more than my bushnell 3200s

While the finish on the 3200 may be more durable the optics in my opinion are sharper in the Redfield line. The click adjustments in both feel about the same and I have not done a tall target so I can't comment on precision however sighting in the redfield appeared to move 1/4 per click as listed, the 3200 was out a little. The redfield also appears brighter than the 3200 and defintely has an edge in eye relief.

Mine is equal or better to my 3200's. I love the glass, but the one thing the Bushy has over it is the rainguard. I truly have seen the difference in foggy conditions and rainy conditions while hunting. One less thing to worry about, especially if you happen to be travelling hundreds of miles along an ice road via truck. Jumping out of vehicles on the way to the hunting grounds to pop off "incidental game" can suck if you look into a pile of condensation from the rapid temp/humidity changes on your glass. I've bagged lots of small game, a couple of wolves, several caribou, several black bears all the while actually travelling to get to our moose areas. (yellowknife has no draws, just go buy the tags you want........except buffalo and muskox, just because they are much lower in populations, and therefore subjected to draws. )
See if you can get yourself 2 or 3 at that price. They are worth it. Rugged, and simple to sight in. Clear glass to the edges, and I found it about 5-10% brighter overall.

Well, I have it in my possession now, and can say that compared to the 3200 , the edge goes to the Redfield.

It is bright and clear to the edges and has better eye relief than the Bushnell.

It loses points on the finish, the Bushnell is just a more cosmetically better looking scope.

I got this factory sealed and new from a Canadian seller on E-Bay.
