Redfield scopes?

Thinking of trying a Redfield revolution 2x7 on my new Savage 10MLII. Actually made by Leupold in the USA and seem to have a decent warranty. All my other scopes are Leupolds but I'm running out of money ....LoL.
Does anybody have any experience with these new scopes, good or bad?
 
Im actually considering this situation myself. I have been doing alot of reading comparing the redfield line with burris and bushnell of similar price, adn they do compare well.

Most of the reading I have done i saying the Bushnell Elite 3200 is a better option, and I am considering the Bushnell now over the Redfield.

Keep in mind I am comparing the 3-9 x 40mm and it will only cost me $20 more for the Bushnell. Not sure of the price difference in the 2-7 x 32.

Another consideration is Vortex! Their warranty can't be beat even by Leupold!
 
My 2 cents: A few months ago I put a new Redfield 3-9x scope w/ accurange reticle on a new Thompson Center Venture in .270 in a budget hunting rifle 'build' I put together. I have been happy with the scope so far. Now don't get me wrong, it is not like they just ship a Leupold out in a Redfield box, but value for money is pretty high, in my opinion. The scope has worked well for me, but I can say that I found a few things lacking: notably the somewhat mushy feeling of the dials when adjusting windage and elevation, the clicks are not as positive as I would like. But again, if you arent screwing around with the dials a bunch with gloves on, etc., I dont think it would be an issue. As well, there is no parallax adjustment, but I knew this going in, so it isnt like it bothered me, but it may be something you just cant be without. Good scope, but you will notice a difference from your Leupolds...but the quality seems to be there.
 
Well I bought a Bushnell 3200 Elite 3-9 x 40mm. Just looked better and the audible clicks for adjustment are nice, as well as the rainguard feature for the same price, well $15 more.

BassPro matched P&D's price of $215! Nice!
 
I have Bushnell Elite 3200. I went to Bass Pro to compare it to Redfield and to me it seemed that Redfield is much better scope. I dont care about clicks and looks. The glass just seemed more clear on Redfield compared to Bushnell. Also the one thing that irritates me about my Bushnell is a small range of eye relief. You really have to keep a precise distance of the eye from a scope with Bushnell, Redfield seems more forgiving in this aspect, the same feature that I like on my Leupolds.

The Redfield did look really bright and I don't think it is a bad scope at all, but If I was going to buy a Leupold I would get at least a VX1, but I have heard alot of bad reviews of the Vx1, and comparing the VX1 and the 3200 there was not enough difference to pay an extra $100.

Like I said the adjustments, Rainguard, fact that I live an hour from the Bushnell warranty centre, and a couple other reasons made me choose the Bushnell.

Im not looking for the best just something relatively cheap to put on a coyote gun, that will only see action from a stand which is easy to access on a friends property.
