I have an old (1960's) Redfield mount and rings . . . the 8 screws that hold the rings together are slot headed and they are all buggered up (not by me). I would like to replace them with socket head screws but first I need to know what size thread they are. The thread pitch is 44tpi and the diameter of the threaded portion of the screw measures .120". Would that make it a 5-44?
