Redfield

I own several, and I am always on the scrounge for them. I sincerely hope it doesn't become "Value based" offering - relying solely on the brand name to move the product.

It will be interesting to see what these are like. Made in the USA and having a good warranty.

We looked at these extensively at the Shot Show and believe they will be a good value for the money. They will be the Leupold entry level scope (still built in the same factory) and will be supported by the great warranty system in place already. The bino's and spotter will be made off shore (China). Phil.

Phil, any news on availability and pricing?

Hopefully we will see them in next month. Tentative pricing;
2-7x33, 4-plex...$174
2-7x33, accu-range...$185

3-9x40, 4-plex...$200
3-9x40, accu-range...$217

3-9x50, 4-plex...$263
3-9x50, accu-range...$265

4-12x40, 4-plex...$265
4-12x40, accu-range...$279. Phil.

Bought a new-generation Redfield Wide-angle 3x9x40 from Blount/Simmons about 3 years ago after they bought up the old Redfield patents and offered an exchange program on old "dead-or-otherwise" Redfields.

Now Redfield has been handed over to Leupold and I have to be wondering what might happen if I ever need the warranty honored.
Admittedly the "limbo" scope is still working just fine on my Knight Disc .50.
Anybody else in this situation?

They look like a great piece of glass for the money, very impressive eye relief on the 4-12! I would like to see more manufacturers go this way, too many scopes with too little eye relief!

I look forward to seeing the product first hand.

Leupold bought the name Redfield only and will not be able to service older Redfield products. Phil.

Also Redfield rings and scope mounts are still made and distributed by ATK and have no relationship with Redfield scopes(Leupold). Phil.

We should have our first Redfield order in stock next week. We ordered everything on their list including spotting scope, bino's and range finders. Note only the rifle scopes are made in the USA, the remainder are off shore production. Phil.

We now have the Redfield scopes in stock with the exception of the 4-12x40. None of the binos, range finders or spotting scope have arrived yet. Phil.

Did any of these prices change?

I picked one up, it looks great the glass is nice and I really like y eranging retical.

I think they are going to be a hit, and looking to pick up a few more. I like them, and like the price.

My freind ordered 4 of the redfield in and sold 3 in 5 minutes as the glass is wonderfull and you can't beat the price and life long warranty!! Sold the 4th the following day! I bought the 2x7x33 and for $200 tax in you could not beat that! Its glass was as nice as any of my vintage redfields, i think they have a hit on there hands;) i only wished they put a nice bright finish on the scope tubes, this is my only complaint, i would pay the extra $$ for this feature.
