I just recently learned and watched a few reviews on youtube about the Redi-Mag and I must say I am quite impressed. I also noticed that Chris Costa and that other dude that teaches Magpul Carbine classes with him run Redi-Mags on their guns as well. I think I will get one! :)

One Shot Tactical is supposed to get some of those or maybe its the Redi-mod (same thing but with extra metal cut off).

They've been waiting for the DOS(?) for a few months to clear it as non-firearm part or something.

IIRC.

Don't base your gear selection on what others run. I tried one, didn't like it. Lots of additional weight for few additional rounds. The benefit described by Travis Haley(the other dude that works with Costa) is only a benefit if your job involves shooting people. Resupplying the redi mod during a match is pointless. Starting a stage with the redi mod loaded is great but is no different than running two clamped mags to begin with, at a much lower cost. A rifle with a loaded 30 round mag and another in the redi mod is very heavy. The additional weight makes swinging the rifle difficult and reduces the duration one can keep the rifle mounted.

i have one- had it for years- back when i got my 20 inches colt package- about 1990 or so- i found special clamp that the isrealis use ( one mag at 90 degrees to the other) to be faster- you should see the looks i get when i've got both the clamps (2) and the redimag charged- but it's kind of stupid with the 5 round rule

I'm a big fan of them, but I admit they are not for everyone/every role

Come visit - as RichLPS can attest we do have about 15 of them at work...
Unfortunately only two are shooters we can use, the rest are museum collection pieces (and next to NIB)

Redi Mag $80ish US 8.4 oz. weight.

We start with the patented Redi-mag® Quick Attach version and CNC machine away all non-essential areas to achieve a 25% weight reduction! Also, we melt all the sharp corners off the mag catch before applying a corrosion-resistant salt bath nitride finish. An added benefit of our Redi-mod is a better view of the magwell for right handed shooters during reloads. Independent mag catch for use by right or left handed shooters allows the shooter to effectively clear bolt-over-base malfunctions. Quick-attach capability allows attachment or removal from Mil Spec weapons in minutes. Includes wrench and fits all M4 Carbines and M16/AR15 rifles.

Why don't you just stock the regular Redi-Mag.......you'd sell more of them.

I'd sell more black rifles if I stocked Norinco over Knights as well ;)

You selling them for 180ish? The website states $219.99.

$219.99 Canadian.

The $180 ish is US compared to the $80ish US on the two Redi Mag/Mods
