Interested? Seems a bit pricy but considering they are all hand built in small batches, I would support them if I could afford it.

Seriously? You could just buy an STI for way less money, or for the same money get a Baer (or Nighthawk or Wilson or...).

Unless the Red Jacket thing floats your boat. I think they're asshats, myself.

Looks like a nice gun, but in all the times I've watched the show I've never seen them making or talking about 1911's. That makes me wonder if perhaps they're manufactured elsewhere and sold under the red jacket name. It doesn't make them lower quality necessarily as I agree with snootworks that the guys on the show don't seem to be extraordinarily qualified or knowledgable with the large variety of firearms they work on. I'm not saying I could walk in and do their job tomorrow, just that they don't come across as subject matter experts in the show.

Agreed. I'm by far am not an expert, but sheesh, learn some muzzle control folks.

That obviously was not designed in-house by Red Jacket.

It doesn't have a bunch of #### welded to it.

When you mention Red Jacket and gunsmithing, i picture some duufus "fitting" a slide with an angle grinder......

:p

Anyone that would consider giving money to that shop after having watched the show is a fool.

I've never seen a bigger bunch of unprofessional tools my entire life.

Not a CHANCE I would ever give RJF any of my money, I don't care if there were the last gun shop in the world.

RJF lost their FFL

"According to TMZ.com, during a routine inspection by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) in 2009, Red Jacket could not account for ten registered guns. In a settlement, William Hayden and Stephanie Hayden surrendered their gun-making licenses and were allowed to choose a licensed individual to control Red Jacket. Initially, that person was Vincent Buckles, but Buckles has left the company and now two other individuals control the company."

If he left Red Jacket, why is he still on the show?

I seen the episode last night when Uncle Ted came to visit the shop. They did give him the prototype of the 1911 which Will did state that it was based off of an STI frame. Still wouldnt mind seeing some of their semi auto shotguns come on the Canadian market.

If that batsh*t crazy guy Chris touched it no thanks. The latest big thing for them,a piston assisted AR ooooh, it's like no one has ever thought of it before or has one. Buck of idiots , Vince was the only one with brains for leaving

They put a collapsable stock and quad rail on it as well.

Guns like that are perfect for nuclear energy security teams.
