Sr4759 works great with flat based 55gr bullets, Speer lists 13gr 2000 fps for a 55gr bullet. I've used that load in a couple 22-250s and had good results. I think it's been discontinued but comes up for sale every one in a while on the EE or gunshows.
5744 would also be a good powder to start with for reduced 22-250.
However; a load that I’ve used in the past that takes the 22/250 down to 223 speeds is 29.5 grains of 3031 and a 52 grain bullet. It’s below minimum charge, and was the Remington test load for 40X back in the day. I’ve got some pretty spectacular accuracy out of that one.
Thanks kindly i shoot a 40X in 6 mm they amazing weapon dont use as much as i would like to. Reduced load is just to please the people beside me get ride of the sharp crack it has have reloaded 22250 for over 45 years
Since its about noise, you could try Blue Dot loads. You can start around 7 grains and go up to about 16 without issue. You can even use pistol primers at those levels which these days might matter.
