There was an article in Handloader magazine I’ll try find that had 22-250 loads reduced to 223, 22 Hornet and 22lr levels. I think they used H4895 for 223 level loads and something like A5744, Unique and probably Trailboss for the slowest loads.
Over the years, I have tried that - never really works out - too many bullet weights to stock (barrel twist rate), too many powders to stock - "reduced loads" are possible, not usually with same powders as full power loads.
If you want .223 Rem power level, get one of those. Same for 22 Hornet level, or 22 Long Rifle, or 22 Magnum or whatever. I am no longer convinced it is smartest to try to make one cartridge do what other cartridge already does. 22-250 with 50 to 53 grain bullets (1-14" twist). 223 Rem with 55 grain to 90 grain (?) (1-7" twist). And so on. If you have $$ invested in wrong rifle for your needs, sell it and get what you do need?? Or build up a stable from 17 HMR to 460 Weatherby - take the rifle / cartridge for the task at hand, versus trying to make it do what it was not designed for. Just my opinion.
