I picked up a bubba special hex 91/30,
Its been cut down and poorly painted...

I cleaned off the paint and found 3 dates on the receiver.. it was the first time I have seen this.
Is it common?

Barrel is cut. I got it with hacksaw marks, no magazine and cracked stock.
Cleaned it up, squared off and polished up the muzzle. Got the boat load of paint off of it(that's when I saw the dates).
I'll be crowning this week, painting it and sticking it in a spare Boyd's stock.

I basically got it for pocket change and lint, so I'll see how it shoots next weekend.

I recently found out about the MO stamping on my Tokarev TT-33 from that site, neat little bit of info on it, and so far mine is only the second TT-33 in the database with MO marking.

Shame it's been cut at some point, MO stamped guns tend to be in great shape. My MO 91/30 hex reciever is in great condition, bore especially.

Someone on here has a MO stamped svt40 if I remember correctly.
