Refinished 597 Receiver (Pics)

Just finished the project!! instead of polishing the aluminum, I scuffed it up, repainted, then clear coated it. Came out pretty nice too!! I also "jeweled" a stripped pattern on the bolt after giving it a high polish!!

I like the way you've finished the bolt. The close up is a bit blurry but hey, who cares about the camera. Shoot straight with your rifle.

I did leave the internals untouched, except for polishing the hammer, etc...Thanks guys, just hope the finish stays put. Eventually I am going to camo the receiver the same as the stock, and maybe leave the barrel blued or camo that too. I have two 597s, the other is a LSS, so this one is my play toy!

Thanks, wasn't sure it was gonna cme out good, it it's not too bad. Anybody know the price of after-factory receiver?? Want an extra so maybe I could change when I go hunting so it's not as "bright/high-glossy"
