I did not like the brown factory finish. I wanted something different so I went with a red stain. I cut the forend down to the short style length, cut the buttstock down by about 1-1/2 inches and reshaped the buttpad to fit. I also engraved my grandfathers regiment and insignia that he served in during WWII.
