Unfortunately that's exactly what they do. Just fall in line, alright? LOL
Not today sir.
Not tomorrow either.
When my days are done, I will fall, though not in line.

I love this disassembly video:
I only lock the mag like that when I'm feeding it with strippers, which is pretty much always.
damn the SVT and it's $70-$100 spare mags!
Don't need to buy spare mags when you own a dozen SVT'sI can take one SVT to the range and all the mags off all my others lol

What did you do to remove the old finish? I just picked up a decent hex 91/30 with tsarist markings and all and it has a lousy dark flaking-in-my-hands shellac job that I want to strip off, as the blond wood underneath looks ok.

That stripper is good stuff but the brass brush might be a little abrasive for some woods like the wood on a Chinese SKS (which is as soft as alder). A nylon pot scrubber pad will work great for any stubborn areas. Strips the finish and leaves the wood alone. Use good gloves.Slather plenty of Circa 1850 Furniture Stripper on with a paint brush, then use a brass brush to brush away the melted finish.
