I'm seriously considering buying a cz858, now that marstar offers wood furniture with their parts kit. However, I'm not a big fan of the greyish tone of the rifle. Is there someone who could refinish the rifle in black?

Are you SURE the parts kit's come with wood furniture? I got wood in mine but it was a surprise and I haven't heard anyone elese getting any. And even in my parts kit the buttstock was the regular presswood. Only the pistol grip and handguards were wood. BTW, mine came from Wolverine.

Yeah I talked to a lady at Wolveine, and she said that they have the wood furniture kit for an extra 15 bucks or something? Don't quote me, but I'm pretty sure thats what she said. They don't however have the stocks.:( Black with the wood? Phewww.
 
Crap. I'd really like to have the wooden butstock too. Oh well, the folder will do for now. On the bright side, I didn't pay any extra for my kit with the wood furiture:D
 
Does anyone out there make synthetic furniture for VZ 58? Just got mine from Marstar and i really think it would look awesome in black.

Go to Crappy Tire and pick up a rattle can of black truck bedliner. Gives you a "tactical grip enhancing finish"!. Cheap and easy to do.

Sounds like something i will look into...i also took liking to Ljungmans furniture from Wolverine (VZ vs CZ thread).... did someone say that they now also have it at Marstar?

We do not offer complete VZ-58 parts kits (aka. 'spare parts set,' 'all parts less receiver,' etc.) for sale.

We did receive a very small number of wood stock equipped VZ-58S rifles in our shipment. We are presently out of stock and cannot predict whether we will receive any more.

Thanx Peter...i just got off the phone with Wolverine and apparently i have to purchase a whole spare parts kit in order to get the wood.
Does anyone know where to get the wood only?
I thinking of calling up my buddy in the Czech Republic to see if he could get it straight from the source....
