Well....got bored again. Yanked the RC K98 out of cabinet and overhauled the wood. BEFORE anyone jumps on this the stock has NO markings on it anywhere other then serial and was in rough shape. I cant get over the difference as it started out freaking disaster as Tung Oil is a nightmare to get off. Kinda like trying to wipe spilled hair gel up with a plastic bag it aint happening haha. Anyways got all the old ####ty dark color off and putting it to original coating of linseed oil. No varnish No stain. Ill be posting pics as i go. The wood came out to a very nice color. I know this is just a RC K98 but still...people need to look at the history if that. They were captured for a reason by some means who knows and even though they are miss matched that's still a part of history how it was done. This rifle has had tons of rounds thru it I only wish it could talk.
