reflex sight and stigmatism

I mounted a cheap reflex sight on my Jrc and went to the range. I found when I closed one eye it was right on. When I tried both eyes open poi was 4" left
Is that because my eyes or an issue with the reflex sight?
The dot is fine but the other choices look blurry to my because of my eyes

If you didn't zero the optic with both eyes open then yes, you will see a POI shift. It's due to the strength of your eyes(how dominant one is over the other) and the "alignment" of your eyes with regards to each other, known as phoria. Zero with both eyes open and use the sight with both eyes open as intended and you shouldn't have an issue. Focus on the target not the reticle.

Just weird my other red dot scopes don't do it

I have astigamatism and am fine with my vortex viper. Didn't really know I had astigamatism until I got a new pair of glasses and needed an eye exam.

Makes sense tho, I see the viper red dot as star with little dots.

Sounds like an eye dominance issue
