I Have taken an interest in Grandads old .222 Rem and want to start loading for it. Brass as it seems is not too common. However I do have a supply of .223 remington brass that will be useless to me as I am selling my .223 AR.

So, I understand that the .223 brass can be easily re-formed to .222 remington brass quite easily. Its just a matter of pushing the shoulder back in a .222 sizing die and trimming the case, correct?

Has anyone done this? Anything to watch out for?

Thanks.

There isn't much change. most of the difference in length is in the neck. Piece of cake, but if the brass has been used a bunch you may want to anneal.
