Reforming 7-08 from .308

Is it difficult to reform .308 brass into 7mm-08. Does a fellow just carefully run a .308 into a 7-08 sizing die then trim ? How does it affect accuracy and brass life ?

One run into seating die lubed normally and they're 7-08 sized. Might not even have to trim. Brass life is the same as pretty much any 308 based case....which is VERY VERY LONG...

Accuracy will still be astonishing provided you do your part

Just lube up and go, I use 308 brass for my 260 and formed it in one pass with no problems.

Is anybody running into brass thickness problems doing this or neck tension issues???

NO neck thickness/tension issues here - sizing for 7-08, 260, or 243 from 308.

I do outside neck turn after one firing, removing the high spots only, after one firing in new chamber though....I think that's as more of a hobby than anything...just what I do.

You're actually benefitting from the thicker neck as it centres the case / bullet assembly better.

So, are guys buying high quality brass in .308 to neck to 7-08, 260, 243, etc............ since it is limited in those other calibers?

Ya, I have Norma brass in 308 necked to 260, but now that Lapua is making 260 brass I'll probably go there in the future.
