Refurbishing an 1896 LEC

Hello New old member here. Long story about email issue and needing to start a new username . Anyhow, I'm in the process of restoring a 1896 LEC. There is a donor stock I got from a fellow CGN'r (Thanks Granite) but it had been sportered. The barrel band groove is still present so I'm pretty sure I can splice wood in for the nose cap. There was a person making nose caps and since I haven't got access to the EE yet I thought ask here about sources for nose cap. DaveM is my old username. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
