Hello all,

We are aware of the disappointment with photos that were posted in our November 14th-16th auction catalogue and have taken immediate action to correct this. All affected photos will be replaced by the end of the day

The issue with these photos arose from a new software tool used to filter out the white paper background of our photo-taking area. We were unaware until this morning that the software had an AI component capable of going rogue and altering the actual items being pictured.

We acknowledge that this resulted in a batch of photos with strange AI alterations being published in the catalogue. This was a mistake, and we are changing our photography process to ensure this does not happen again. Our team is committed to cataloguing auctions accurately and using real people to take real photographs of real items for you.

We apologize for the error and hope you will enjoy browsing the revised catalogue as soon as we update the photos.

Sincerely,

- Landsborough Auctions Team

2 simple questions which should have a simple response.

Will you allow people to withdraw bids on items since the pictures were doctored, i.e. fradulent. Will you be notifying all bidders that bid on items that had doctored/fradulent pictures that they can withdraw their bid if they so desire (even if they are not the current high bidder).

Bids are timed stamped. Pretty sure most wouldn't be the high bid this soon. They no doubt can see if someone was affected with high bid before photo corrected and make decision on case by case. Just my thoughts

High bid is not relevant. People bid and pushed the price up on a false pretense. Restart at zero.

Please send us an email at cs@landsboroughauctions.com with your bidder number and relevant lot number(s) if this is your situation and we'll see what we can do for you.

Im speaking at large. You sullied the auction. You should send emails to all who bid on those lots, explain yourselves, apologise and then reset those lots that are affected.

As for "we'll see what you can do for you", are you guys complete effing clowns?! Man up and take responsibility. This is in the same realm as john from marstsr and his ignorant attitude over the garand fiasco.
Your auctions have progressively shown how little effort you put into them. One crappy pic that sometimes hides problems, no descriptions and other questionable actions.

There are other issues with this auction other than your doctored pics. Someone in your company cant even count.

Just to be clear, you didnt answer my questions. Tells me a lot.
