Region 7A moose?

A buddy has more confidence in my geographic knowledge than I do. I only know a tiny portion of 7-11- He asked me this:


'Can you recommend for any lakes in Region 7A (Prince George) for the spike fork/calf season in the third week of October where we plan to use canoes to locate moose – lakes not too large and dangerous, but not uselessly small, or an area where there are a number of such lakes?'

Any ideas?
 
I've seen a number of moose down aroung the Tako Rd area...dont know the area well enough to tell you if there are any decent lakes though without digging out my maps.
 
Pulled out my maps, and there isnt alot of canoe friendly in the Tako area, but if he goes 7-8 around Lazaroff Lake he might have some luck. All depends where abouts in 7A you want to go, though.
 
check out finger lake area, although i dont know if thats 7-11 or 7-12, but theres lots of moose back there, but if you shoot my calf the war is on!!!!!!
