Registering .22LR AR

One of my builds is near completion, and I am thinking of getting it registered as .22LR

Does it have to have a .22LR marked barrel? Or rimfire BCG and magazine are sufficient?

Itll be whatever you tell the RCMP it is.

If it's being used for .22LR because you're using a drop in bolt and magazine, then let them know when you call. I've never had an issue changing the calibre when I complete builds.
