Hi all,
Just received an email from CFP on line advising that my registration for a restricted handgun is approved and should get the registration in the next two weeks.
What steps do I have to take now, if any, once my registration arrives? I'm assuming the firearm can now be shipped from the dealer, but my RPAL does not have an ATT attatched at the moment.
Will this be addressed by the CFO, or do I need to do something from my end? Apologise if this question is obvious, but its been over 30 years since I last owned a restricted.
Thanks for any advice.

Welcome back into the fold of handgun owners within what has become Kanada. Good for you!

In case you are unaware, I heard AB CFO is not sending approval emails to dealers for restricted purchases. So you should forward the email for the approval to Prophet River or they might be unaware.

They will send you a new RPAL with the ATT attached. You don't need to do anything.

Yep, expect a new license to come in the mail. Super efficient right? Send a new plastic license card for license condition changes that are only listed on the piece of paper that comes with it.

You might want to contact the seller and forward them a copy of the email saying your transfer has been approved. That will authorize them to ship the gun to you. In certain cases these emails are not being sent out to sellers and it may take weeks for the paper copy to come through.

Can't understand why they can issue an email telling me my application has been approved and the registrations have been issued.....but can't send the actual registrations bt email!! It is 2022 after all!!
