This summer marks 10 years since Galt3gun was started! To honour this auspicious occasion we will be hosting an open match on July 8th and 9th.

This is shaping up to be a pretty special match. Not only have we ordered close to $10,000 in additional targets (due to a gracious donation from our club), but we have booked a food truck that will provide lunch for all on the Saturday at no additional charge. Stages will be a mix of some of the best stages from the past 10 years along with some new stuff that shooters will thoroughly enjoy.

Please be aware that the Friday squad times are reserved for G3G member volunteers only.

A skid of targets from MGM arrived today - we've added a double texas star, a couple triple droppers, clay launchers, swing targets, an Attack Target, and more to our already decent collection of MGM targets.

And we've booked The Schmuck Truck - shooters will have a choice of one of four selections: SCHMUCKN'TURDUCKEN BURGER, THE SLOPPY SCHMUCKER, SCHMUCKN'GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH, or THE BEEFY SCHMUCK.

A couple of local businesses have stepped up to offset some of the food costs. Thanks to IT solution specialists fiveninesit.ca and garage door specialists doorcare.com for supporting Galt3gun!
 
We will be sticking with our standard divisions: tac ops, tactical irons, and open. All of the rifle shots will be doable with a pcc, just make sure you know your hold-overs out to 175. As far as bolt/pump/pull/etc. action rifles there may be modified stage instructions...or there may not be ;)

I know the 3gun rifle landscape in Canada has changed. Our approach has always been one of cautious optimism; with any luck, some day we will all be back competing with the rifles we want to compete with. But until I have no other choice, I'll be damned if I design a match around our Liberal bull#hit laws.
