Registrations Online ?

Thank you for the replies.

I didn't double check with a supervisor, but the first person I talked to at the CFC attempted to connect me with the Alberta CFC office (they seemed to have hung up on me, twice).

After reading the paperwork and all the online policy stuff, I also believe that the registration numbers printed off the internet should suffice. However, being a n00b, I am definitely trying to stay out of any trouble until I learn the system a bit more...

Hmmm... As much as I didn't want to look...

So this isn't actually representative of what I should have registered to me is it? I mean for a measly $2+ billion dollars what I am seeing isn't what LEOs see is it? A Norinco 1911 I bought years ago online isn't listed...

Nope...that webpage only shows registration status for things you've tried to register. Assuming approved, eventually you won't see them anymore (as the status is set) nor can you see all the firearms registered to you. You'd think for $2 billion + you could but apparently that option cost too much and was scrapped:jerkit:

Ahh foolish youngster.. you speak of common sense and logic.. but you should know where the government is involved those are poison concepts never to be even spoken never mind followed!

Thanks for clarifying :D

I'd have thought that over the 15 years it's been "in development" one of the contractors pulling in 6-figure incomes would have gotten bored one afternoon perhaps and coded the single query it would take to have that info available to us. One line of SQL and a loop to spit the data onto a web page. I wonder if I should send them a quote for the work? ;)

Ahh but they want another huge paycheck for them to do that

Good ole' Ontario, no registration listed now (five minutes ago) for a handgun registered this past year. Now I know it was listed prior to the CFO entering the data base last week, as I checked a couple of weeks ago before registering a couple of rifles. Some how the Restricted was dropped online for the handgun, but the new aquisitions are now listed. Mind boggling.
