Regular M305 vs shorty M305

I am planning on getting one of the shorties for the EBR stock. I saw some initial posts talking about the fitting of the rifle into USGI stocks... Should i be concerned about fitting this into the chassis?

As stated above the new Shorty I received would not fit into my USGI fiberglass or my Archangel stock without the removal of some material under the trigger pads and the trigger guard. I have fitted it into my USGI and it isnt too hard to do but on a Sage stock I wouldnt know how hard that would be to do.

I noted that on the original synthetic stock that came with my shorty that the cuts for the trigger guard and pads were cut quite abit deeper than my other 2 polytechs or another Norinco I compared it to.This lead me to believe that the receiver dimensions may be smaller on my Shorty.

So bottom line the regular length rifle has less issues fitting into aftermarket/USGI stocks/accesories and therefore tolerances are closer to the original M-14.
