reliable .22 pistols.

Check out the russian margolin aka vostok pistol. There are lots of them around for $250 - 300. They are as accurate as any of the best .22 pistols, extremely reliable and easy to field strip and maintain.

The down side to them is that they are not pretty, they don't have a slide hold open (just a part that protrudes out the left and right side) and they do not have a safety. But for what most of us do (go to the range, sit it on a bench when not in use) they are perfect.

Spend more, get one of the best 22's on the market, the Sig 226 in 22, then you can get a kit for a 9/40/357sig... Have less clutter in your safe.

I hated the Ruger 22, it's grip is tiny, for those with large hands. Felt awkward shooting it.

Go further get a Kadet! :D

Nah probably way more then you want to spend, but MAN THEY ARE A NICE LIL' .22!!!!

Don't rule out the Norinco M-93.

Other than being a little on the small side, it is excellent value for the money.

+1 on the 93. I got one for 140$ and it is more reliable than my ruger mk2 hbar. My ruger does nothing but stovepipe if i try and rapid fire.

Plus cci quick shocks or stingers make a wicked fireball out of the m93.
