Reliable Gun Massive Sale Issue.

Would've, could've, should've... whatever. So they made a mistake. Big deal. It's foolish to expect 100% perfection from a business, or anything in life for that matter. All that really matters is whether the business is willing to rectify any mistakes to the customer's satisfaction.

Expecting a business to fix a mistake like this, only days before Christmas in simply unreasonable. Calling them out in public, on Christmas Day is even worse.

The fact that Reliable responded in a positive manner, willing to make this right, is all that's required at this point. The fact that they did this on Christmas Day is just 'above and beyond'.

(I can't imagine what Mrs. Reliable thinks of Mr. Reliable answering customer complaints, when he supposed to be helping set the table for Christmas dinner...)

While I agree that in the end, as long as they make it right, thats all that really matters, This is the sort of thing that could have been avoided in the first place. Whoever is responsible for putting #### on the website should also make sure they are accurately representing their products. At the least, they should write their own description of a product, rather than just take whatever they want from the manufacturers website and assume its accurate. If I owned the place, I'd be yelling at whoever is in charge of the website for doing such a half-assed job.

Now this post exists, and very well could be costing the company money in lost sales from people who see this and are like "well Im not going to buy from them, I dunno if I'll actually get what I'm expecting or not."

And yet, will all that said, Im still not sure the OP needed to start this thread, because damn it, its Christmas and people have better things to do than respond to disgruntled customers right now. (Like being with family)

Well as for me, in light of the comments by the staff at Reliable, I would NOT hesitate to purchase from them. Well done. :dancingbanana::dancingbanana::dancingbanana::dancingbanana::dancingbanana:

Everybody knows Reliable is one of the best retailers around. Things will get taken care of when they are back. As for now, please resume relaxing and milling around the turkey left overs. d:h:

reliable are good people. They have explained and will deal with the op. lock it up sarge. this one is done.

Vault did 1 limited run of RFBs with threaded barrel and a linear comp all done by dlask arms. It was a small shipment done almost a year ago. Every other Rfb since have been the standard barrel.

Don't forget the desert storm models, they were also threaded with dlask comp, and beige furniture, that was done a few years ago.

Like the other guys said, and Reliable has proven by replying here, they will do what's needed to make it right.

But, the OP should also know that Vault has told me that threading the barrel yourself OR having a smith do it, will void the warranty! And even though Vault had Dlask do the threading on some of the special run RFB's, having Dlask do this for you WILL ALSO VOID your warranty. This really took me aback AS IT'S THE SAME GUYS WHO DID THE THREADING FOR THEM!!! ARGH!!!

I was thinking of having my RFB threaded & did all this 'dancing around' only to decide NOT do thread the barrel as I did not want to void my factory warranty.

Cheers

This just a observation when ever I come across a thread with problems when a product has been purchased from a firm or a individual the complaint usually comes from someone with a 0 trader rating . Just a observation. Lack of experience . In defense of Reliable Gun I purchased a firearm from them 2-3 yrs ago and it was not Excatly as discribed they promptly corrected the problem

Wait... does threading the barrel void the warranty on the whole rifle, or just the barrel? If they refuse to say, replace the stock if it somehow fails, because the barrel is after-market threaded, well... that's just silly.

I was told by Vault that it "voids your warranty"... I wonder if someone asked Vault again, it's been about 2 years, if the answer would be the same now?

I think that this being the holidays reliable has been more than accommodating in taking care of the issue. I know the disappointment of being let down with a purchase of a firearm and not getting the support you deserve but in this case they have stepped up and are trying to correct the problem, I just wish that I had received the same from them.

I have had great experiences at Reliable and some not so great. As with every business not all the staff treat customers as well as others but if you get one of the guys that care they will likely help sort out the issue as best they can. I wasnt so lucky with a purchase during the sale... They couldn't find the item I bought when I went to pick it up and simply gave me a refund, after trying to talk me into something I didn't want first. If I had been dealing with Nick or Shane that day they would have at least let me know if they had something similar coming or looked harder to see if they actually had the item. I got one of the other guys unfortunately. Better luck to you...

Happy to report that BMG.NutZ has forgiven us for our mistake!

Thanks again for all the positive comments above and we do take all criticism large and small into account. We try to make as FEW mistakes as possible but it is inevitable that they will happen. We've been doing this for over 65 years now and we are not going anywhere. So if ever there is an issue, something that just doesn't seem to make sense or even you catch a mistake on the website please do not hesitate to contact us.

BMG.Nutz has requested that we lock this thread and we will happily oblige.

Again Happy Holidays Everyone!
Be safe and have fun :D
From the Reliable Gun Family.
